CRS is Going Greener to Help Save our Planet.

For the past 3 years we have been tracking the carbon footprint that CRS creates. All aspects of CRS’s operation play a part including Electricity, Heating, Paper Consumption, Waste, Shipping, and Travel (employee commute and air). Each category was calculated into lbs of CO2 created per year. The following information is the total metric tonnes of CO2 that CRS has created.

2007: 10,038.15 Metric Tonnes of CO2 per year
2008: 10,575.09 Metric Tonnes of CO2 per year
2009: 9,564.89 Metric Tonnes of CO2 per year

This is an improvement of 877.20 Metric Tonnes of CO2 over 2008. Sometimes its hard to visualize how much space your carbon footprint takes up, so if you think of a 53’ trailer long, by a 53’ trailer high, by a 53’ trailer wide. The space inside the cube is equal to 2 Metric Tonnes of CO2 emissions.
